You are the definition of a professional artist. You haven't lost a step, and even when you revisits characters you've long since departed, the improvements to your style over the years (which is no small feat considering your well-established prowess), shine even brighter. Thanks for coming back and producing such a wonderful piece!
Super clean lines, especially on the Amazing Spider-Man. Great spot blacks, shading, and poses. From the details of the Incredible Hulk to the simple shadows of the (Hand?) ninjas in the background, this is another piece of comic book cover greatness!
I think I see a few different inking techniques, like this is the next level of art. It's almost an 'old school' cover! The heavy black inks in the lower left help propel DP towards the viewer. The white spaces are even fun. Wow.
Oh, stop it. I should be stealing from you! Just kidding. Really, I haven't been to a comic store in a while, I don't get Wizard anymore so DA is very important to me! The last stuff I saw from you was prob the Red "Hulk" series, maybe. I noticed that the lines and shading are a lot more detailed and you've got more texture too. Faces are coming out of the shadows... even the shadows have shadows!
Good luck with your next projects! I am glad you wrote back. If you have time, stop by my Gallery and let me know what you think.
